Yield: 2 glasses
1 cup green kale leaves
2 cups diced ripe bananas
½ cup raw cashew nuts
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (alcohol-free)
½ teaspoon chopped ginger
½ cup filtered water
2 cups ice
A pinch of salt to taste
1. Put all ingredients in a blender. Remember to put the liquid first and the greens last. Add ingredients in between.
2. Blend on high speed until a creamy and smooth puree is achieved.
3. Pour into glasses and serve.
If you do not like the taste of
banana in your smoothie,
substitute it with chia seeds for
this recipe. Soak 6 tablespoons of
chia seeds in 2 cups of filtered
water overnight and blend
drained chia seeds to your
smoothie the following morning.
